- There are numerous hiking opportunities in Kauai. There is a small amount of walking/hiking involved with visiting Lumahai, Hideaway, Sea Lodge and Secret Beach, as well as Queen’s Bath. But, if you want a real hike, there are several which you might want to consider. The Na Pali coast from Kee Beach to Polihale State Park has no roads, with access only accessible by foot, boat or helicopter fly over. This 11-mile Kalalau Trail hike is the ultimate most famous hike in Kauai.. You can hike the first 2 miles of the Kalalau Trail, from Kee Beach to Hanakapiai Beach. If you are more energetic, 2 more miles to Hanakapiai Falls. Any portion of this hike and visit to Ke’e Bach requires a permit, which you can acquire here.
